Lovesongs were the order of the say for our St Valentine's concert at Hartford Parish Church, along with a feast of sacred music. Our Spring Concert at Sacred Heart Parish Church, St Ives, raised over £600 for the Holy Land 2003 Charity. "A Concert for a Summer's Evening" was the request in the beautiful setting of the Bishop of Ely's garden. A marquee had already been set up for a lunch that day and the local branch of Relate had been given permission to use it for an evening Garden Party to raise funds for their organisation. The heavens opened and wellies and umbrellas were the order of the day but that didn't stop the obvious enjoyment of the guests and Tapestry brought a touch of brightness to the evening with a short programme of light summer music. |

| Another success for Tapestry was when we sang to a capacity audience of appreciative people at the Houghton Church Flower Festival on Sunday 10th June. The church looked wonderful, with some very innovative and colourful displays and we tried to interlink our music with some of the subjects of the flower arrangements. For another feast of flowers and music, we sang on the theme of "All things Bright and Beautiful" at Somersham Church on 22nd July. | ||||||
| Our Passiontide concert made a good start to our year in 2007: we raised £280 for East Anglia's Children's Hospices. A big thank you to Bill Mahood for his readings and for agreeing to be our Honorary President. In October 2007 we were delighted to take part once again in the Worldwide Voices for Hospices Concert on the 6th October. This is a biennial event in which choirs all over the world raise funds for their local hospices. Singers are twinned with choirs from different continents and greetings are exchanged. This concert brought together voices from three age-groups: the choir of St Anne's C.E. School, Godmanchester, the Hinchingbrooke School Chamber Choir and ourselves - a winning formula..The concert raised over £1000 for Milton Chidren's Hospice. | ||||||
